Assam Releases Tender for 70 MW Solar Project in Amguri Solar Park

The Assam Power Generation Corporation Limited (APGCL) has announced that it has released a tender inviting Request for Proposal (RFP) from concerned power producing companies/solar developers for the allocation of 70 MW of Grid-Connected ground-mounted solar photovoltaic projects to be executed in Amguri Solar Park in the state of Assam.
The scale of work for the winning bidders will comprise the development and commissioning of the 70 MW project in Amguri Solar Park in Assam on Build-Own-Operate (BOO) basis only for the acquiring of solar power by APDCL for a period of 25 years.
The final date for the submission of bids is February 6, 2019. The technical bids will open on February 8, 2019, and the price bids will open on February 18, 2019.
To be entitled to bid, the net worth of the bidder should not be less than Rs 61 lakh per MW in the preceding financial year, and the bidder will also be requisite to present an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs 6 lakh per MW.
APGCL has set the upper ceiling for quoted tariff at Rs 3.50/kWh. The utmost period for commissioning of the project is 12 months and the bidders will be free to benefit fiscal incentives like accelerated depreciation, concessional customs and excise duties, tax holidays, benefits from trading of carbon credits, as available for such projects.
