Assam Discom Invites Bids for 400 kV/33 kV Pooling Substation for 1000 MWp Solar Projects
Assam Power Distribution Company has invited bids for the turnkey development of a 400 kV/33 kV pooling substation for a 1,000 MWp/700 MWAC solar PV plant in Karbi Anglong district of Assam. Bid submission ends on May 5, 2025.

Assam Power Distribution Company has floated a tender for the design, engineering, erection, testing and commissioning of a 400 kV/33 kV pooling substation for a solar PV plant of capacity 1,000 MWp/750 MWAC in Karbi Anglong district of Assam on a turnkey basis.
The project must be completed in 18 months. Bidders need to furnish INR 3.5 crore as an earnest money deposit (EMD).
Bid submission starts on April 25, 2025 and ends on May 5, 2025 till 11:30 AM. The techno-commercial bids will be opened on May 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
The bidder must have designed, manufactured, type tested (type testing based on IEC or equivalent), supplied, erected, tested, commissioned and operationalised at least one AIS substation of 400 kV or above voltage rating, including associated civil works on a turnkey basis within last seven years as on the date of bid submission.
The bidder must possess experience in designing, installing, testing, and commissioning of specific equipment, which should have been in successful operation for at least one year within the last seven years as of the original bid submission date. This includes at least two 132KV class Power/Auto Transformers with a minimum capacity of 50 MVA, five AIS circuit breaker bays of 132 kV or higher voltage level, Control and Relay Panels, RTU/BCU and Substation Automation Systems, as well as the construction of a control room building with all associated civil works.
The bidder’s net worth in the last financial year must be positive. The bidder’s average annual turnover in the best 3 out of the last 5 years must be at least INR 280 crore. The Bidder must demonstrate that its financial resources less its financial obligations for its current contract commitments meet or exceed INR 55 crore.
