Arctech, a solar tracking system provider with a portfolio of over 3 GW in contracts in Uzbekistan, has successfully enabled the on-schedule grid connection of the first 400MW phase of China Energy Engineering Group's (CEEC) 1GW solar project.

Uzbekistan, blessed with abundant solar resources meeting 97 percent of its renewable energy potential, is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. CEEC, a major contributor to Uzbekistan's infrastructure development with over USD 8.1 billion in green investments, is spearheading a new era of renewable breakthroughs with this colossal solar project.

Arctech's industry-leading SkyWings single-axis trackers, designed to withstand Uzbekistan's frequent sandstorms and dry climate, played a pivotal role in making CEEC's project the largest solar installation in Central Asia. Once fully operational, the 1GW project is expected to generate a substantial 2.4 billion kWh annually, while simultaneously creating 1,600 local jobs.

The grid connection ceremony, attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, underscores Uzbekistan's unwavering commitment to accelerating its energy transition.

Arctech's solutions are crucial in tapping into the country's vast solar potential, and the company has marked its third project completion in Uzbekistan in 2023. With a pipeline of 3GW in signed contracts, Arctech has solidified its role as a long-term partner in providing solar tracking and racking system solutions.
