Andhra Pradesh Installing 250 Charging Stations to Promote EVs
The state energy minister suggested people to go electric by acquiring the use of electric vehicles for financial benefits along with environmental protection.

Andhra Pradesh’s department the New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP) is providing the installation of 250 charging stations in this year, and further 100 subsequent year.
The state energy minister suggested people to go electric by acquiring the use of electric vehicles for financial benefits along with environmental protection.
Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has commanded for the promotion of electric vehicles. There are 100 electric buses in Tirupati and we propose to raise them to 1,000 throughout the state.
Moreover, he added Vijayawada would be become a model city for charging infrastructure by installing 105 charging stations and that the winning outcome of converting three-wheelers into EVs in Tirupati would be reproduced throughout the state.
The state’s charging infrastructure scheme is in line with the national goal of attaining net zero emissions by the year 2070.
Concurrently, the state is devising policies to boost government employees to acquire the use of EVs by allocating 1 lakh such vehicles on an EMI basis and availing road tax and registration fee exemptions.
