AmpIn Energy Transition, India's leading renewable energy platform, is poised to reshape the power landscape in the Eastern region with a groundbreaking investment of INR 3,100 crores.

The investment encompasses the establishment of renewable energy projects exceeding 600 MW and an integrated manufacturing facility for solar cells and modules. The regions targeted for significant investments include West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Northeastern States.

AmpIn Energy Transition already boasts the largest solar open-access portfolio of around 200 MWp in the region. Additionally, the company holds the largest utility Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with CESC for a 250 MWp wind-solar hybrid project and manages the largest Behind the Meter industrial solar project, a robust 10.5 MW initiative for an industrial customer.

These diversified assets enable AmpIn to assist customers in achieving significant energy cost savings ranging from 25 percent to 40 percent while substantially reducing their carbon footprint. The company serves prominent customers across various sectors, including Cement and Steel, IT and data Centre, Heavy engineering, FMCG, and Utility.

Pinaki Bhattacharyya, MD and CEO of AmpIn Energy Transition emphasized, "The time has come for the Eastern region, which is the home of coal, to embrace renewable energy. Our investment marks a significant milestone in our mission to drive the transition to renewables in the region. AmpIn can partner with any customer to help them achieve 100 percent RE, and we believe that with the right policy intervention like Green Energy Open Access, the shift to renewables is unstoppable. The integrated solar cell and module manufacturing capacity that we are establishing in the region would strengthen the push to renewables. Collaboration between industry, solution providers, the financial sector, and government at both central and state levels is also crucial for a successful transition."

In addition to these initiatives, AmpIn is establishing a 1.3 GW solar manufacturing facility in Odisha. Beyond contributing to the economic growth of the Eastern region, the 1.3 GW solar manufacturing unit is anticipated to generate job opportunities and position the region as a key player in the renewable energy sector.

AmpIn Energy Transition, in collaboration with industry association FICCI, conducted a seminar on Renewable Energy Transition for Commercial and Industrial Consumers in Kolkata addressing the roadmap to achieve 100 percent renewable energy for corporations and industrial consumers in East India.
