Ampere Launches New Reo 80 Electric Scooter at INR 59,900

Ampere, the electric two-wheeler brand under Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML), part of Greaves Cotton Limited (GCL), has launched the all-new Ampere Reo 80, an affordable and smart electric scooter designed for everyday use across India.

Priced at INR 59,900, the Reo 80 aims to make electric mobility more accessible, aligning with Ampere’s vision of ‘Har Gully Electric’. The scooter, which is suitable for first-time EV users, students, elderly riders, and families, offers features like a colored LCD cluster, a safe LFP battery, front disc brakes, keyless start, and a range of 80 km on a single charge.

It is also designed with dual-tone sporty colors and stylish alloy wheels. The Reo 80 is the upgraded version of Ampere’s flagship scooter Reo, designed for low-speed use with a top speed of under 25 kmph. Deliveries of the Reo 80 are set to begin in April 2025.

Ampere continues to gain momentum in the Indian EV space. As per Vahan data, Greaves Electric Mobility recorded a 52 percent month-on-month growth in March 2025, selling over 6,000 electric 2-wheelers, reinforcing the brand’s strong market presence and consumer trust.
