Amazon, in alliance with partners ranging from manufacturers to charging point operators, is propelling the integration of electric vehicles (EVs) across more than 400 cities in India.

The aim is to expedite the adoption of EVs within its operational framework. By 2025, Amazon has set its sights on deploying 10,000 EVs in India, a significant move in its sustainable mobility.

In pursuit of this goal, Amazon is collaborating with local original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), small and medium businesses, as well as startups in India.

Notably, a pioneering achievement surfaced from Amazon's collaboration with Altigreen: an innovative three-wheeler EV boasting a commendable 100-kilometer range and an impressive cargo volume of 177 cubic feet.

Amazon is an active participant in the "Shoonya - Zero-Pollution Mobility" campaign, introduced by the Indian government in September 2021. The campaign harmonizes seamlessly with Amazon's all-inclusive objective to enhance e-mobility's ecological footprint, specifically targeting EVs for urban deliveries and ride-hailing services.

The company is venturing to offset carbon emissions within its trucking operations, piloting scalable technologies for carbon reduction.

Highlighting these efforts is Amazon's ambitious pledge to fully power its global operations with renewable energy by 2025, an accelerated timeline from its initial commitment of 2030.
