Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has updated the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by adding 14,670 MW of solar module capacity in List-I. With this, the cumulative module manufacturing capacity under ALMM has increased to 88,905 MW.
New entrants include Websol Energy System (242 MW), Knack Energy (598 MW), Rayon Illuminations Solar Solutions (62 MW), Loom Solar (43 MW). The total number of manufacturers listed in the ALMM stands at 93.
Among the companies that have seen renewal of capacities include Credence Solar Panels (495 MW), Sunify Solar (152 MW), Ankur Traders and Engineers (54 MW), Fujiyama Power Systems (355 MW) and Atmanirbhar Solar (158 MW).
The existing companies that have increased their capacities are Gautam Solar (470 MW), Redren Energy (397 MW), Rajratna Ventures (86 MW), RenewSys India (1,176 MW), Icon Solar-En Power Technologies (574 MW), FS Green Energies (644 MW), TP Solar (5,222 MW), Emmvee Energy (3,264 MW) and Emmvee Photovoltaic Power (678 MW).
The List was last updated on March 27, 2025. Among the key additions to the list were Asote Solutions with 152 MW, MKU Holdings with 1,183 MW, and Axitec Energy India with 18 MW.
Introduced in 2021, the ALMM serves as a critical quality control measure, ensuring that only approved solar module manufacturers are eligible for government projects, subsidies, and tenders. The list is regularly updated to reflect the status of compliant manufacturers.
Solar Cells will also come under the ambit of ALMM from June 1, 2026 onwards and will be listed under List-II.
