Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Installs 600 kWp Rooftop Solar Plant in its Haridwar Warehouse

Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. has installed a 600 kWp rooftop solar power plant at its warehouse in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The plant is expected to produce more than 7.5 lakh units of solar energy annually.

Akums Drugs & Pharmaceuticals Ltd. has successfully installed a 600 kWp grid-connected rooftop solar power plant on its warehouse premises in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. By adopting clean energy solutions, the company is reinforcing its role as a responsible corporate entity committed to reducing its carbon footprint.

Spread across a 56,000 sq. ft. region on the rooftop, the solar plant is expected to produce more than 7.5 lakh units of solar energy annually, leveraging optimal sunlight exposure for five hours daily. With this project, the company anticipates to save over INR 50 lakh on electricity usage per annum, amounting to huge savings on energy expenditure while preserving the environment. Moreover, the environmental benefits of this project are substantial—equivalent to conserving over 10,000 trees annually.
