Israel-based Airtouch Solar, a prominent player in the development of robotic solutions for the solar energy sector, has recently inked an agreement with India's Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) to provide innovative water-free robotic cleaning systems for a substantial 150 MW solar plant in India.

This collaboration, marking the second agreement between Airtouch and AGEL in just four months, aims to enhance the energy output of Adani Green's solar portfolio while making significant water savings.

Under the terms of the agreement, Airtouch Solar will deploy its cutting-edge AT 4.0 robotic systems at AGEL's 150 MW site by the end of the financial year 2024, contributing to a yearly conservation of approximately 12.6 million liters of water.

The waterless cleaning robots are designed to counter dust accumulation on solar panels without utilizing water, thus facilitating higher energy generation and faster cleaning cycles, ultimately maximizing return on investment. Airtouch Solar's AT 4.0 series is specifically tailored for Indian soil conditions, ensuring efficient and effective cleaning.

The collaboration falls under the framework of a Master Supply Agreement previously signed by Airtouch and Adani Green Energy Ltd. This agreement empowers AGEL to place additional orders for Airtouch systems as needed, with the specifics of each order, including quantity, delivery schedules, and system price, determined individually.

Adani Green Energy Ltd. currently operates with an impressive portfolio of over 8.4 GW. With aspirations to reach a capacity of 45 GW by 2030, this strategic partnership with Airtouch Solar represents a significant step towards achieving sustainable and efficient solar energy solutions.
