Airox Nigen Unveils 2 GW Solar Module Facility in Haryana

Airox Nigen, a provider of sustainable energy solutions has announced the launch of its state-of-the-art solar module manufacturing facility under the brand name Ahaan Solar.
This initiative is the first step in Airox Nigen’s plan to build a 2 GW renewable energy facility in Haryana, showing the company’s commitment to supporting India’s clean energy goals.
It is located in a 17-acre Renewable Energy Park in Rohnat, Haryana, this new facility is poised to be a cornerstone of sustainable energy innovation in the region. In addition to the solar module manufacturing line, the park will also house Airox Nigen’s Aspire Hydrogen, a 3 GW electrolyser manufacturing plant. This dual-focus facility will enhance the company’s leadership in the renewable energy sector, further cementing its role in green technology and solutions.
The firm said in its statement that the facility’s initial phase will focus on 600 MW of solar module manufacturing, with the capacity to scale up to 2 GW. Equipped with advanced technology, the facility will produce high-efficiency solar modules designed to meet the growing demand in both domestic and international markets. Production is expected to begin within five months, marking the beginning of rapid development and expansion.
The first phase, with a 600 MW capacity, is part of a larger plan to scale up to 2 GW at a 17-acre Renewable Energy Park in Rohnat, Haryana. This initiative aims to strengthen India’s solar energy capabilities, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, create local employment, and drive sustainable economic growth. With a phased investment of INR 800 crores, the project underscores the company’s commitment to clean energy.
Aniruddh Agrawal, Chief Strategy Officer at Airox Nigen Equipments Pvt. Ltd., expressed, “This project is a bold step in accelerating the transition to green energy. By establishing this advanced manufacturing facility, we aim to bolster India’s renewable energy ecosystem while empowering local communities with jobs and driving sustainable growth. As per the firm, the Renewable Energy Park in Rohnat has been designed with the highest environmental standards in mind, ensuring minimal carbon footprint during its operations. This project is aligned with India’s national initiatives such as ‘Make in India’ and the National Solar Mission, reinforcing India’s leadership in the global renewable energy market.
The firm claims that it has been involved in over 75 hydrogen projects globally, including key green hydrogen pilot initiatives for major clients such as NPCIL, NTPC, and SJVN. Furthermore, the firm said that the establishment of the world’s largest electrolyser and fuel cell production hub in Ahmedabad showcases its position as a pioneer in green hydrogen innovation.
With the completion of the first phase next year, Airox Nigen is poised to propel India towards a sustainable and energy-secure future.
