AFRY Acquires Ionic Consulting in Ireland
Sweden-headquartered AFRY has acquired onshore wind and renewables market leader, Ionic Consulting, to strengthen its engineering and consulting service offering and capacity in UK and Ireland.

Sweden-headquartered AFRY has acquired onshore wind and renewables market leader, Ionic Consulting, to strengthen its engineering and consulting service offering and capacity in UK and Ireland.
Ionic Consulting will further strengthen AFRY’s position with their renewables expertise in wind, solar and energy storage while having a strategic focus on clean energy.
“This acquisition is important to achieving AFRY’s strategic clean energy ambition and provides AFRY with a strong position in Ireland and further grows our presence in the UK market. Together with the Ionic Consulting team, AFRY will continue to deliver sustainable solutions and support our clients in the energy transition,” said Peter Plug, Head of Renewables and Thermal Power, Energy Division, AFRY.
