Adani Group Secures INR 13,888 Crore Contracts For Smart Meter Installation In Maharashtra

The Adani Group, in a significant development, has clinched two contracts valued at INR 13,888 crore from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) for the installation of smart meters.

The Adani Group, in a significant development, has clinched two contracts valued at INR 13,888 crore from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) for the installation of smart meters.
 
MSEDCL recently awarded a total of six tenders to install smart meters, with Adani Group emerging as a prominent winner.
 
Under these contracts, the Adani Group will serve as an advanced metering infrastructure service provider for smart prepaid metering in MSEDCL.
 
The two zones allocated to the Adani Group cover Bhandup, Kalyan, Konkan (comprising 63.44 lakh meters) and Baramati, Pune (comprising 52.45 lakh meters). The Letter of Awards has been issued to the successful firms, formalizing the agreements.
 
With these latest wins, the Adani Group is set to become the largest supplier of smart meters in India, holding a substantial 30% market share.
 
This achievement further solidifies the group's presence in the power sector and underscores its commitment to advancing smart meter technology across the country.
 
The Adani Group's transmission arm, Adani Energy Solutions, is actively engaged in the smart meter segment, and these contracts mark a significant stride in the company's expansion in this sector.
