Adani Green Energy Surpasses 14 GW of Operational Renewable Energy Capacity

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) has surpassed 14 GW of operational renewable energy capacity with the commissioning of 480.1 MW of solar and wind projects at Khavda, Gujarat. The company, which is developing the world’s largest 30 GW renewable energy park at Khavda, has now operationalised a cumulative 3.7 GW at the site.

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) has announced that the company’s total operational renewable energy capacity has surpassed 14 GW.

The company has recently operationalised an aggregate 480.1 MW RE projects at Khavda, Gujarat, through its various wholly-owned subsidiaries.

“Based on the relevant clearances, it was decided at 10.10 p.m. on March 29, 2025 to operationalise these plants and commence power generation from March 30, 2025,” the company stated in a regulatory filing.

The company has added a cumulative 362.5 MW of solar power and 117.6 MW of wind power. Among solar power, Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six has added 125 MW while Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Seven and Adani Green Energy Twenty Four A have added 37.5 MW and 200 MW, respectively.

In wind power, Adani Renewable Energy Forty One has added 65.6 MW and Adani Green Energy Twenty Four has added 52 MW.

With the commissioning of these plants, AGEL's total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 14,217.9 MW.

The company is developing the world’s largest renewable energy plant with a capacity of 30 GW on a barren wasteland at Khavda, Gujarat, covering 538 square kilometres. AGEL has operationalised a cumulative capacity of about 3.7 GW renewable energy at Khavda so far.

AGEL develops, owns, and operates utility-scale grid-connected solar, wind, hybrid and hydro pumped storage renewable power plants across 12 states.

The company has set a target of achieving 50 GW by 2030 aligned to India’s decarbonisation goals.
