Adani Green Energy Operationalises 396.7 MW RE Projects in Khavda, Gujarat

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) has operationalised 396.7 MW of solar and wind power projects at Khavda, Gujarat, as part of its plan to develop the world’s largest 30 GW renewable energy plant. With this, AGEL’s total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 13,487.8 MW.

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) has announced that the company through its various wholly-owned step-down subsidiaries has operationalised an aggregate 396.7 MW power projects at Khavda, Gujarat.

“Based on the relevant clearances, it was decided at 7.44 p.m. on March 27, 2025 to operationalise the plant and commence power generation from March 28, 2025,” the company stated in a regulatory filing.

It includes a cumulative of 287.5 MW of solar projects commissioned by Adani Renewable Energy Fifty Six (200 MW) and Adani Green Energy Twenty Four A (87.5 MW). Another 109.2 MW of wind power has been operationalised by Adani Renewable Energy Forty One.

The company is developing the world’s largest renewable energy plant with a capacity of 30 GW on a barren wasteland at Khavda, Gujarat, covering 538 square kilometres. AGEL has operationalised a cumulative capacity of 3220.8 MW renewable energy at Khavda so far.

With the commissioning of this plant, AGEL’s total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 13,487.8 MW, stated the company.

AGEL develops, owns, and operates utility-scale grid-connected solar, wind, hybrid and hydro pumped storage renewable power plants across 12 states.

The company has set a target of achieving 50 GW by 2030 aligned to India’s decarbonisation goals.
