Adani Green Energy Commissions 57.2 MW Wind Power Projects at Khavda, Gujarat

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) has announced that its step-down subsidiary Adani Renewable Energy Forty Eight has commissioned a 57.2 MW wind power component of its wind-solar hybrid project at Khavda, Gujarat, raising its total operational renewable capacity to 11,666.1 MW.

Adani Green Energy Ltd. (AGEL) has announced the commissioning of a 57.2 MW wind power component of its wind-solar hybrid project at Khavda, Gujarat.

 “Adani Renewable Energy Forty Eight Ltd., a step-down subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Ltd. has commissioned a 57.2 MW wind power component of its wind-solar hybrid project at Khavda, Gujarat,” the company informed in a regulatory filing.

“Based on the relevant clearances, it was decided at 2.51 p.m. on January 14, 2025, to operationalise the plant and commence power generation from January 15, 2025,”

It further added that with the commissioning of this plant, AGEL’s total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 11,666.1 MW.

Last month, AGEL announced the commissioning of a 112.5 MW solar power project and a 62.4 MW wind power component of its wind-solar hybrid project at Khavda, Gujarat.

In October 2024, AGEL completed a 1,150 MWac joint venture with TotalEnergies, involving a USD 444 million investment. TotalEnergies acquired a 50 percent stake in AGEL's solar projects at the Khavda renewable energy plant in Gujarat.
