Adani Green Energy Commissions 250 MW Solar Project in Andhra Pradesh
Adani Green Energy’s step-down subsidiary Adani Solar Energy Ap Eight has commissioned a 250 MW solar power project in Andhra Pradesh, increasing its total operational renewable capacity to 12,591.1 MW.

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) has announced that its wholly-owned step-down subsidiary Adani Solar Energy Ap Eight has commissioned a 250 MW solar power project at Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh.
“Based on the relevant clearances, it was decided at 06.18 p.m. on March 11, 2025 to commission the plant from March 08, 2025,” shared the company in a regulatory filing.
It further added that with the commissioning of this plant, AGEL’s total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 12,591.1 MW.
AGEL develops, owns, and operates utility-scale grid-connected solar, wind, hybrid and hydro pumped storage renewable power plants across 12 states.
Last month, the company surpassed the milestone of 12,000 MW of operational portfolio. AGEL is the first and only renewable energy company in India to reach this landmark.
AGEL's portfolio consists of 8,597.5 MW solar, 1,651 MW wind and 2,259.6 MW wind-solar hybrid capacity.
The company is developing the world’s largest renewable energy plant with a capacity of 30 GW on a barren wasteland at Khavda, Gujarat, covering 538 square kilometres. AGEL has operationalised a cumulative capacity of 2,824.1 MW renewable energy at Khavda so far.
The company has set a target of achieving 50 GW by 2030 aligned to India’s decarbonisation goals.
