Adani Green Energy Commissions 250 MW Solar Project in Rajasthan

Adani Green Energy’s subsidiary, Adani Green Energy Twenty Four, has commissioned a 250 MW solar power project at Bhimsar, Rajasthan, increasing AGEL’s total operational renewable capacity to 12,841.1 MW.

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) has announced that its wholly-owned step-down subsidiary Adani Green Energy Twenty Four has commissioned solar power project of 250 MW at Bhimsar, Rajasthan.

“Based on the relevant clearances, it was decided at 11.56 a.m. on March 20, 2025 to commission the plant from March 21, 2025,” the company stated in a regulatory filing.

With commissioning of this plant, AGEL’s total operational renewable generation capacity has increased to 12,841.1 MW.

AGEL develops, owns, and operates utility-scale grid-connected solar, wind, hybrid and hydro pumped storage renewable power plants across 12 states.

Last month, the company surpassed the milestone of 12,000 MW of operational portfolio. AGEL is the first and only renewable energy company in India to reach this landmark.

AGEL's portfolio consists of 8847.5MW solar, 1,651 MW wind and 2,259.6 MW wind-solar hybrid capacity.

The company is developing the world’s largest renewable energy plant with a capacity of 30 GW on a barren wasteland at Khavda, Gujarat, covering 538 square kilometres. AGEL has operationalised a cumulative capacity of 2,824.1 MW renewable energy at Khavda so far.

The company has set a target of achieving 50 GW by 2030 aligned to India’s decarbonisation goals.
