Adani Energy Solutions Limited (AESL), has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) for the acquisition of Halvad Transmission Ltd. from PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL).

Halvad Transmission Ltd., a special purpose vehicle (SPV) was established by PFCCL for evacuating 7 GW of renewable energy from the Khavda Renewable Energy Park.

Through a tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process, AESL acquired the Halvad Transmission Ltd. SPV and is set to commission the project in 24 months on a Build, Own, Operate, and Maintain (BOOM) basis.

The transmission line, a part of the national grid, will facilitate the evacuation of 7 GW of renewable energy by connecting Khavda to Halvad in Gujarat.

The ambitious Khavda Renewable Energy Park is the world's largest renewable energy park with a generation capacity of 30,000 MW. AESL plans to invest approximately INR 3,000 crore in the over 301 km transmission project, which includes the setup of a 765 kV Halvad switching station with 2x330 MVAr bus reactors and a line-in line-out of Lakadia–Ahmedabad 765 kV D/c line at Halvad.

Anil Sardana, MD of Adani Energy Solutions Ltd., emphasized the company's commitment to efficient renewable energy evacuation. He stated, "The 7 GW project will go a long way in making additional renewable energy available to consumers. We will use the latest technology to commission this project with minimal environmental impact."

This project win further solidifies AESL's market-leading position, expanding its network to 20,518 circuit kilometers and 53,161 MVA of transformation capacity, strengthening its contribution to India's renewable energy landscape.
