ACWA Power Announces Commercial Operation of Shuaa Energy 3 Phase C in Dubai

ACWA Power Company announced that it has received a notice from Shuaa Energy 3 P.S.C project company, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, stating that it has been granted the Project Commercial Operation Certificate for Phase C of the Shuaa Energy 3 project.

Phase C added an additional 300 MW to the total project capacity, bringing the complete plant to a commercial operation with a total capacity of 900 MW.

Shuaa Energy 3 is a special purpose vehicle established to develop the fifth phase of the solar park. It is also owned by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and Gulf Investment Corporation. 

Together with ACWA Power, they have entered into a 25-year power purchase agreement to generate clean energy, aligning with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050.

ACWA Power owns a 24 percent stake in the Shuaa Energy 3 project.
