50 Solar Parks Sanctioned in India by November 2023: Minister Singh
Overall, the nation has commissioned 10,401 MW in 19 Solar Parks.

As of November 30, 2023, India has made significant strides in its solar power initiatives, sanctioning 50 Solar Parks with a cumulative capacity of 37,490 MW across 12 states.
The development comes under the government's scheme for Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects, aiming to establish a minimum of 50 Solar Parks with a combined capacity of 40,000 MW.
The information was shared by Union Minister for New & Renewable Energy and Power, R.K. Singh in the Rajya Sabha.
Among the key details, Andhra Pradesh leads with 5 sanctioned parks and a capacity of 4,200 MW, with 3,050 MW already commissioned. Gujarat follows closely with 7 parks and a sanctioned capacity of 12,150 MW, of which 900 MW are commissioned. The state of Rajasthan has 9 sanctioned parks with a total capacity of 8,276 MW, out of which 2,901 MW are already commissioned.
Overall, the nation has commissioned 10,401 MW in 19 Solar Parks. Additionally, the minister noted the cancellation of two solar parks, Kadaladi Solar Park and Ramanathapuram Solar Park, each with a capacity of 500 MW, in Tamil Nadu due to slow progress and land constraints.
