Last week at the Smarter E event in Munich, Germany, Swiss inverter company Studer Innotec launched a new 3-phase (Next3) smart inverter charger. This inverter charger has MPPT inbuilt in it.
As per the official reports, the Next3 is more than just an inverter charger; it's a collection of innovations that make it the only all-in-one inverter on the market, allowing entire control over energy generation, storage, and distribution, as well as grid interaction.
Studer Innotec is offering a 12-year warranty on the 16 kW Next3 inverter. It has two MPPT inputs with an 8 kW plus 8 KW configuration, making it appropriate for both off-grid and on-grid applications. For MPPT input, the maximum short-circuit current is 22 ADC, and the maximum open-circuit voltage is 900 Vdc.
The inverter and battery charger weigh 58 kg and dimensions 320 mm x 450 mm x 760 mm. It can run with a battery voltage range of 38 Vdc to 68 Vdc and has a nominal output voltage of 220 Vac to 240 Vac. It can be used in conjunction with a 12 kW PV system with an MTTP voltage range of 300 Vdc to 700 Vdc.
