Solar Power Dominates India's RE Landscape with over 97 GW of Installed Capacity
As per MNRE data (December 31, 2024), India’s renewable energy capacity has reached 209 GW, with solar power leading at 97.8 GW, contributing nearly half the total. Ground-mounted solar accounts for 75.2 GW, and rooftop solar under the PM-Surya Ghar Yojna adds 15.6 GW. Wind power follows at 48.1 GW.
