Renewable Auctions Surge, Tariffs Drop 50 Percent in a Decade

India held 24 reverse auctions for renewable projects in 2024-25, up from 16 in 2023-24. Tariffs fell to INR 2.48–4.99 per unit, marking a 50 percent decline over a decade. Minister Pralhad Joshi presented the data in Rajya Sabha.
