127 GW of RE Projects Under Construction, 89 GW in Tendering Stage: MoS Power Shripad Naik
India has 127 GW of renewable energy under construction and 89 GW in various stages of tendering, with the government targeting over 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, stated Minister of State for Ministry of Power Shripad Naik in the Rajya Sabha.

India’s RE Capacity to Hit 250 GW Mark by March 2026: ICRA
Rating agency ICRA has predicted that India’s renewable capacity addition is estimated to exceed 26 GW in FY 2025 and further increase to 32 GW in FY 2026, driven by the large project pipeline. Energy storage requirement is estimated at nearly 50 GW by 2030 to integrate the rising share of renewables in the generation mix.
