MNRE Proposes Lower Efficiency Threshold in ALMM for Solar Modules for Select Off-Grid Applications

MNRE has proposed lowering the module efficiency threshold for c-Si solar PV modules from 19 percent to 18 percent for off-grid applications like solar lamps, street lights, fans, etc. (excluding agricultural pumps and rooftop solar). These modules are proposed to be listed under a separate ALMM List-I (DRE).

Residential Rooftop Solar Installations Under PM Surya Ghar Crosses 8.46 Lakh

Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, and Power Shripad Yesso Naik shared that a total of 8.46 lakh households have been benefitted through installation of rooftop solar plants under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Gujarat leads the adoption with 3,51,273 installations, followed by Maharashtra (1,92,936) and Uttar Pradesh (73,602).
